I am having trouble with my vehicle. When I let my truck sit for hours and than drive it, it will run fine. Once I drive it for a while it tends to die. I notice that my oil pressure gauge starts at 60 when I start driving than it gradually goes down to 20. I also notice when I press the gas the gauge goes to 40. My truck generally tends to die while at idle. I have replaced an O2 sensor and my exhaust thinking that was the issue. I need some ideas please. Thanks

Try replacing you oil pressure sending unit. If your sending unit send a low oil pressure signal to the ECM, the ECM will shut the fuel pump causing the engine to stall. The other thing to you may want to do is to clean the IAC ( Idla air control valve) located at the throttle body and it will not hurt to also replace the fuel filter. The DTC code to why your engine is stalling may also be in the history and you can retrieve that with a scanner, Auto Zone scan free of charge and a low oil pressure will show up as a DTC code:

P0520 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Malfunction
P0521 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Range/Performance
P0522 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Low Voltage
P0523 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit High Voltage

Good luck and hope this helps, keep us posted on what's causing your engine to stall.
