98 Sonoma center caps

Ok here is what I have, 98 Sonoma with stock wheels, When I got it the 2 front center caps was missing so I bought 4 off ebay, Well I put 2 of them on they were not very tight, Lost with in a day, I guess the clips are wore out, Guess thats what you get buying used, Is there any way to tighten them up before putting the other 2 on? Thanks in advance for any help.

Simple fix, buy a zip tie at the dollar store and tighten up the clips on the back side of the centre caps where the lug nuts go in to hold the cap in place. Just cut the excess zip tie and make sure you don't over tighten the clips or your going to have a hard time taking then off again, or the zip ties will break when the clips expand when the lub nuts slide in them.

I guess you can also wrap electrical tape around them to tighten the clips so the diameter where the lug nuts go in to are not so large, giving the centre caps a better attachment to the lug nuts. ;)

Thanks Molson, Never thought about the zip ties, I did ues the tape on the other 2 around the clips, But that was a no go lost any way, thats why I love the forums, more input is always better, I`ll let you all know how it works out..

Will I got the zip ties on and put some hot glue on them so they will not slip down, They are good and tight, Now to see if they stay on, Good Lookn Out Molson..
