So im working on a 99 gmc envoy that the brake line has rusted out on. Its the steel brake line that connects to a fitting in the frame on the drivers side by the back axle.

Its rusted out on the metal side right above where the fitting threads in, It looks like from there it runs along the drivers side frame by the gas tank to the front abs module.

Am I right in assuming that it goes all the way to the front? Do I need to pull the whole line or is there a way to "splice" lets say, a new end on so I dont have to pull the whole line?

If I do have to pull the whole thing it looks like it shall nary be a fun job.

Any advice? Many thanks in advance

Shaun

It can be spliced , but you'll need flaring tools and tubing benders to do it....

this is my 2 cents

Fix it your self if you know what you doing .
Pay to have it fix if you don't know what your doing after all these are your brakes and i would think you life would be worth a few hundrew bucks.
