99 gmc jimmy sls

Hello all replaced my motor in my 99 gmc jimmy 2dr sls and was wondering its taken forever to get it ready for inspection im thinking the computer being reset alot of times didnt help this issue but since its been in the shop i havent done that just been driving it but my check engine like is out but the thing is when i turn the ignition on sometimes the light comes on but sometimes it dont unless i open the door and shut it and take key out or when i hook up my obd 2 computer to it it does this was just wondering if it sounds like its doing this because its just not ready or is it because of an electrical problem everything works fine except the 4x4 and the mirrors dont work electric ones but havent since i got it to me it dont seem to be an electrical issue and was also wondering if a stereo amp and system being hooked up and having fog lights hooked up could cause any of this the truck always starts never have a dead battery so i i dont think any of its hurting anything. Help would be greatly appreciated.
