A/C blend door actuator

So i have the clicking coming from underneath my dash when I start and turn my truck off. I see it's the blend door actuator. I bought the part which so far has been the easiest piece to this puzzle. Has anyone replaced on of these? The are so far under the dash I don't even know where to start to replace it.

Any help will help. I'd love to hear from someone who has actually replaced one.

I replaced mine after reading about the failure of the internal gear of the actuator being a common problem for vehicles with the electronic climate control. You can remove and replace the actuator through the glove box but it is a PITA! The bigger issue is setting the new actuator. Still trying to figure that out. Have read about resetting the ECM by pulling fuses but hasn't worked for my '98 Jimmy SLT. I read another post about having to go to the dealer and have them do a hard reset. Still trying to figure it out myself before I go to the dealer and pay them to do it. Good luck.
