There is no A/C drain hose, you have a low and high pressure side a/c line and the R134a need to be vacuumed out before it can be recharged.
If there is any moisture in the system, it will turn in to ice and plug up parts like the expansion valve or filter (accumulator). The a/c system is vacuumed out on the low side which is usually on the accumulator and there is going to be a valve on the high pressure side on the metal line.
