Hello everyone. Does anyone have any expertise with the climate control system on a 1999 Suburban? My Sub has a front and rear system ( or at least separate controls). The rear works great but the front is cool at best and is really worthless when it gets above 70 degrees outside. I have been told that it has only 1 compressor and condenser that are shared by both so I should not be low on refrigerant. Any insight would be appreciated.

Most likely your are low on R-134... Bring it to a certified AC shop and have then recharge your system, there are recharge kits that you can buy at AutoZone.

But when recharging the system, make sure that you don't over charge the system which will your AC run worst in performance....

Good luck and keep us posted.... :D

heck your actuator door. Most parts stores carry them and its an easy fix under tyhe dash near floor above tunnel takes about 15 minutes to install. I had same problem and the plastic gear that controls the door had broken. Also stay away from that stuff (Recharge kits) The only way you can guarantee you have the correct amount in the system is to have it evacuated and the proper weight put back in.;) I have seen more then one system explode from over filling in the parking lot of stores.;)Cost you about 100 bucks to have it evacced and charged
