I have a 1998 Jimmy SLT with 113,000 miles on it. Just replaced the fuel pump which was shot. When i took the gas tank off i forgot to remove a small black hose towards the front of the gas tank (opposite of the fuel pump side) and it broke off as I removed the gas tank. I put everything back together as it was without the hose attached. The car seemed to be alright at first, however the next day I had a check engine light, and I noticed it seemed as though I had no power and when I put the pedal to the floor I still had no power and a putter. I had the codes checked and its throwing these 2

p0507
p0404

The p0404 says something about the erg valve, does the black hose that I neglected to repair when replacing the fuel pump have anything to do with this code?

that little black hose was probably a vaccum line for the erg valve, it is a main component in fuel delivery, my sugestion, fix the hose and have no problems. :) also future idea, fix broken items when they break, dont leave, why crawl under there twice when you can once? :)

+1 Good call Shayne
