ABS Control Module

ok was told by a mechanic that my ABS control module was bad causing the braking issue I have been having when coming slowly to a stop the pedal pulses and grunts at ya.. Only when applying brakes at stop and go traffic conditions and creeping up to a stop. No ABS lights on the dash however! He also indicated that this is causing some issues with the 4wd not totally engaging? Does that sound right?

Maybe...I have found 9 times out of 10 when the ABS starts doing that, you have a hub bearing going causing the ABS sensor to short.
