I have a 1998 GMC Sierra. The ABS light will come on and heat/ac controls (no lights, no blower) and 4WD indicator lights won't work. Fuse is good. Now the brake light will come on and the the controls and indicator lights will work. Then both lights will go off. When I change speeds on my heat/ac blower. The ABS light will come on and heat/ac controls stop until brake light comes on. What could this be? How do I fix it?

Wow, so I saw the title of the thread and thought... jeeze that sounds like my old 98. I just yanked the ABS fuse because the module went for a crap. It sounds like you have some serious wiring issues, possibly a short to ground. have you had the dash apart yet?

With all the issues, start with inspecting your fuse distributor box. Look for signs of corrosion that is causing current to jump between so many different functions on your Sierra.

Post back with us and you can buy electrical contact cleaner to clean out your fuse distribution box. Start with this simple thing for now and let us know. ;)
