Acadia FWD vs. AWD Mileage

I am considering leasing an Acadia and I am trying to find out what type of mileage owners with both the FWD and AWD versions have been getting.

I’m glad to hear you’re considering leasing an Acadia! Since I don’t own one, I can’t give a more personal opinion on its gas mileage, but the most accurate numbers GM has come from the EPA. For the 2011 model year AWD vehicle the mileage is 16 city/23 highway; for the FWD model the mileage is 17 city/24 highway.

We have had 2, both were FWD and those numbers are pretty accurate. IMHO the Acadia is a darn nice ride, handles well, good performance, and is very roomy without having to double park the beast like a lot of the bigger SUV's. We came from Expedition's so this was a down size but overall we love it a lot more than the Expedition, especially on the gas and the way it drives.

Acadia AWD milage

HiYa.... I had an 08 Acadia AWD. I got 20mpg on the highway and about 15mpg in town/city. I also averaged 13mpg towing a 17' deep V fishing boat.

Supposedly you will lose 2mpg on the AWD VS FWD but the AWD was awesome while driving in the snow & ice.
