hello i am working on my 94 sierra changing alll tie rods and all ball joints as we were hammering the upper ball joints trying to get them out all the sudden smoke was coming out of the air filter truck was off not. be en started in a day. so c i tried to start it and its totally deadcan anyone help eith this?? thanks.

truck was running? maybe you hit the battery cable and smashed it against part of the truck. i believe the batter cable runs along side the fender well to the starter. check that wire/wires near where you were hitting.
