Hi all
I've got a '98 SLS ext cab. 2wd 4.3v6 - stock ride height/ extra capacity susp
A couple of months ago, I installed a new back half driveshaft eliminating the double cardon (the angles were good) three u-joints total now--- $400 (balanced with front half) --- luv it
Yesterday, I installed a 2003 Yukon 5.3v8 ad244-145a alternator- fit perfect
I reinstalled the stock gatorback which slid over the smooth idler easily, however it ran the tensioner close to end travel -still worked, tho'
Later, I replaced the belt with a Gates K060966 belt which fit perfectly.
I showed my local auto parts store the online ads for $100 alternator,
they matched it and refunded core $41 for my cs130 alt.
