Any ideas on new exhuast setup

2000 step side 5.3L iv known about an exhaust leak on one of my headers but today one of my tail pipes on my dual exhaust busted right at the end of the muffler. after i got under my truck to take off the broken tail pipe i noticed i had a lot more exhaust leaks than i thought hahaha im gonna need to replace the whole damn thing but i was wondering what setups you guys have and how you like it im not lookin to be the loudest truck out there but i do like that agressive rumble ahhaa

I'm still stuck deciding what setup I want to run and I've been working on my truck for quite some time now, but watching vids has definitely helped. Must say I actually like the sound of the Cherry Bomb extremes..

Flowmaster original 40 Series. I've put one of these systems on my brohters last truck, his current truck, and I put a True dual exhaust with Flow40 mufflers on my truck. They sound great! Not too loud, have a nice rumble to it, until you really step into it then its a nice loud with a solid roar. I've put a Magnaflow on my last truck it sounded ok, but I like the Flow40 much better. I'm re-doing my exhaust in a year and putting Flowmaster Super 10 Series mufflers on which sound great, considerably louder than 40's however.

I put on the Flowmaster 40 MROY16 talked about on my 2010 Sierra and I love it. It sounds great taking off form a light, it's quiet at 65mph on the highway, and it turns a few heads when I start it up in the parking lots. When I was trying to figure out which one to go with, the shop that did the work temp installed a 10 series, and it was too loud for me. I'll never put anything but the 40's on my trucks. Hell I even talked my dad into getting it for his truck ('99 Sierra)

isn't there a proective paint spray I can apply to my new exhaust pipes to help against rust

I use flameproof header paint, does the job well.

i installed on my sierra 2003 cherry bomb Vortex exhaust and it sounds amazing

put some slp headers with borla type s exhaust. check out youtube. aggressive growl sound. gonna cost a little more than flowmaster and the other usual suspects but it'll be worth it
