I have a slight problem, I live in New England in the winter season and my 1984 plow truck with a 350, 350 trans is broke. I am having transmission/ transfer case problems and can't figure it out. I can shift the trans locally at the the transmission with ease. So I dropped the trans pan down yesterday in freezing temps hoping to find a busted linkage or pieces of metal, some indication that there was a problem. But of course nothing, fluid looks clean and doesnt smell burnt the valve body looks brand new as well. Do I drop the valve body? If so anyone know how many bolts I have to remove to get it out. Now to the transfer case I can only shift it locally 2 detents all the way toward the rear and up 1 thats it. Should I drop the transfer case to inspect, running out of options and frustrations are building. Thank you all for any help you can offer.
Thanks,
Travis
