Anyone else fed up with the switch to deactivate the auto stop-start requiring attention each time the vehicle is started? In the first place as a consumer I see the concept unnecessary for the minute advantage it may offer, however if it is needed install it reverse of what it is now. If the feature is desired let the operator select it, otherwise the vehicle would not shut off at every pause of forward motion. I found a device offered on the web which plugs into the switch located on the console—- after removing factory harness from the switch insert device inline then plug the factory harness to new harness. Very simple but a warning on installation, the top of the console must be raised to install unit and one should have the tool used by GM to accomplish this to avoid damage. Once installed the driver can select either off or on for the feature and then forget the button until a time when he may wish to change. When starting my 2021 the dash now flashes a notice “auto stop-start off”
