Automatic 4WD feature?

Hi Guys,

Just bought a 2015 GMC Canyon, V6, 4WD drive. I actually got it used, only had a bout 5K on it. Like it a lot.

One weird thing. It doesn't seem to have the 'auto' 4WD feature. It has 4wheel high, 4 wheel low, but no 'auto'.

I thought all the canyons had that. Were some of them built without it?

I have a 2016 Canyon All Terrain that the selector has 2w - Auto - 4wHi - 4wLo .

What motor and trim package does your Canyon have? Thinking the auto feature came with the SLT package and 3.6 engine.

Maybe your build sheet waa messed up as in 2015 the Colorado did not offer that feature only GMC did. I believe the 2016 has the auto feature..at least the Colorado's got it at some point. Your truck apparently got the wrong setup delivered and rather than shutting down the line it just passed unnoticed. At least that is my guess.

Just noticed this thread is a year and a half old. OP has checked out. Thinking I'm not going to get much info here on a potential new purchase and will do the same.
