Hello, fellow GMC'ers. Forum newbie here. Need advice from you who have experience with putting an Auxiliary Fuel Tank (or having one installed) in the pickup bed.
I have a 2018 GMC 3500 Diesel Dually (CC, LB). Planning to go to Alaska this summer. My 36 gallon tank seems a little light considering the 10 MPG I'm getting pulling the 5th Wheel here on I-10 (flat land). I'm looking to add 30-40 gallons of diesel to hopefully double my range, while keeping the weight added manageable.
Are gravity feeders a big No-No? Are the automatic, computer controlled pressurized versions required? Worth the money? I am interested in hearing any and all experiences. Thanks in advance.
