banks power pack?

hey guys I just towed my bass boat and didn't like how the truck was doing... reving high 4-5k rpms and 11MPG. am was looking to add about 40hp and as much TQ. I know to make more power you need more air. I was looking at the banks power pack and I would get it for $1450. would that be a good route to go? i know banks make decent stuff has anybody ever tried it here

well to tell you the truth the 4.8 is kind of a dog.

I would not spend the money on a system. In stead i would get a new tk becaues you will never be happy with the HP while towing.

My 5.3 tows like a dream but only towing a 19 foot boat. I don't even know the boats there.

Go road test a 5.3 and see what you think frist.

the 5.3 makes only like 15HP more than the 4.8 and I had a 5.3 before you don't notice a difference. if you want something that tows like a dream than get a diesel

here are the actual stats.... 5.3 has almost 43pounds of more torque... you are looking to add 40.... seems he is correct... go get a 5.3L

i drove a 4.8 for 2 weeks while my tk was in the shop. You could not give me a 4.8 tk.

buying a 5.3 just wouldn't be worth it only for just a 20HP increase and 40lb. ft of torque... its much cheaper just to mod the 4.8 a bit. especially since the used car market is way too over priced since. if i where to just buy another truck for more power id go back to a diesel again.
