Molson, is this exhaust still a 2-into-1? Can we do 2 pipes on our vehicle?
My neighbor has exhaust on his camaro, and to be honest, it sounds like total shit. If I ever put exhaust on mine, I want to threaten a 5.0 mustang when I roll up next to one. Can out little 4.3's do this?
The 4.3 can hurt a few V8's with lots of tuning and the right set up.

The transmission we have (4L60E) has a very low first gear so you need to get the transmission to shift fast and firm.
Ok here is some history on my 96 which is a PITA for tuning. The HP tuner does not support the 96-97 PCM. The system uses two PCM board that work with each other kinda like a 95 OBDI hybrid, but enough of that.
4.3 Vortec Engine has got the Crane 260 cam/ Pro Magnum 1.6 rocker ratio. Transmission has got the Corvette servo, 0.49 boost valve, removed the checkball from its cage in the case in the rear of the transmission helps the 3-4 up shift faster (must remove valvebody),
Exhaust is stock manifold (lazy to replace with headers PITA) Exhaust is a High flow 3" Catalytic Converter with the matching 2.5" Magnaflow muffler double chamber single exhaust. With the stock but modified air box and K&N air filter.
Additional mods was the rear end having now a G80 (limited slip) and swapped out the transfer-case with the BW4472 AWD transfer-case. (just because i thought going through front tires once a year would be cool

)
Now back to the top, with my HP tuner i had to use a 98 PCM with the 2001 BIN code to get the engine to tune and run the way i wanted it to (no torque management). With that said, i got my shift points lower from my 1st to 2nd to shift around 3,800 RPM at WOT and 2-3 around 4,400 RPM and 3-4 at 5,200 PRM at WOT with the TCC locked up and speed governed to ludicrous speed
Timing is up a bit and the EGR will open more if the knock sensor detect detonation instead of turning the timing down as all engine is program to do. The added EGR flow will cause the cylinder chamber to cool down again also stop the detonation, car manufacturer's can not do this due to the EPA standards. So the timing is controlled by the PCM to turn it back down for a safer timing for the engine to run, but will not advance again till the next start up.
As for the Jimmy with over 365,000 miles. i'm still hammering on the skinny peddle from time to time and will out pull most V8's off the start then loss them in the mids range (need more HP GRRRR) but then will catch them on the top end with the poor engine screaming for mercy).
Send me PM but as for stock engine with no tune you can still go with the High flow cat and 2.5" single exhaust system to give it that Bad Azz noise and it's just a nice rumble for everyday drive, but anything over 2,500 RPM the the fun starts with the noise.
