Quick Question,

I've got a 1995 4x4 1500 and I'm trying to figure out the biggest size tire I can run. I've got the torsion keys (porkchops) on the front end so it's got about an inch and a half to two inches of lift in the front. Im looking at getting a 20 inch wheel with either a 0 offset or a + offset. I've been told I could run a 33" Trail Grappler with a positive offset wheel with minor trimming and that's what I'm hoping I can do. All the help would be appreciated.

Just realize that the larger tire from stock you go will reduce the power of the vehicle. Larger tires change the axle ratio and that can cause the truck to use more gas, the transmission to shift at the wrong rpm and make the truck operate outside of its designed torque range. In other words, larger tires can make the truck seem like its underpowered, not to mention alter the speedometer.

I understand all that. I just need to know what size I can run...

I have the same question, I'd like to take the rims and tires off my 82 K20 and put them on my 95 K2500. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

33" would not be a problem i think, bigger than that without adjusments is not a good idee
