hey everyone. Is there sumthn i'm doing wrong? I replaced my front calipers, sway bar endlink, had rotors turned, and replaced the pads. Put everything back together and bled the brakes by opening the valves on top of the calipers. Unfortunately, i pumped too many times and emptied the reservoir. Now, i've got a bunch of air in the system. I then poured a couple of quarts in, but the brake pedal simply refuses to stiffen no matter how many times i pump it. Is there any other way to bleed the brakes on a 95 jimmy other than the valves on top of the calipers? thx.

You were good until you emptied the res. ... Best thing to do is bleed the whole system....Bleed the master cylinder then bleed the brakes starting at the right rear, then the left rear, then the right front, then the left front ..... They sell the held held vacuum bleeder pump at Advance Auto and the other parts stores so you can do it yourself pretty easy... Hope this helps !!!

gravity bleeding is thye best way to go. no need to pump air into the system and you can do it alone

..the same way you would bleed the fronts..the backs have a bleeder too on each wheel, just like the fronts...No biggie to do but might have to use a long socket to loosen them...they are located on the back of the drum basically..Just over where the brake line goes into it....
thx a lot. i actually already did the fronts, and the truck stops just fine. i'll go ahead n do the rears as well too. thx again.
