Hey,

I have a bit of a blower motor circuit problem that I haven't encountered yet. I had the typical blower motor resistor problem (loss of a few speeds) so I bought and replaced it without problem. The old connector was in good shape, not melted/corroded so I left it alone. Everythnig was fine as were the tests I did checking voltage at the connector while going through speeds on the switch. Switch, reistor and motor were all working and randomly I lost all speeds. They do however work great when I start my truck with the remote starter. I did a quick check of how it was installed (compustart installed at a shop by previous owner) and everythnig looks well done. When I start the truck with the remote I can cycle through all speeds until I step on the brake, then a relay clicks and the blower totally shuts down. Any ideas??

well most liky ign switch (comon problem) since the remote start puts power to the circuits just like a ign switch.
now here a quick test you can do just hit the bottom of the sterring colum where the key goes in and see if the fan starts to work 9have the blower on high while doing this)

Start with the simple and swap out or replace your blower motor relay and inspect the wire harness connection again and blower switch is self.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

why would a blower motor relay only work with a remote start? It does not know where the power coming from just when it has power it works.
