Hi all.

I own a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500.
While driving down the road, my front brakes will randomly engage. I have taken the truck to 3 different mechanics and received three diff opinions. The first mechanic said my drivers side caliper was bad and sticking, so he replaced it, and the front brake pads, since the sticking had worn them out. The second mechanic said there was a ABS sensor issue and he replaced the sensor. He also said the rotors, calipers and pads were worn out (3 weeks after the first repair). I replaced these myself. The next week I had the same issue and decided to take it to a Chevrolet dealer to get it figured out. This time the tech called me and said that the issue all along was due to the collapsing of the specialty brake hoses. He replaced those and said I was all set. The next day I still had the same problem, so I brought it back to the dealer. They contacted me and said the brakes were running to spec and could find no other problems. Since then I have not taken the truck out of town, because the brakes engage at least once every time I drive it. (I use this truck to plow as well as use it to drive 180 miles to get to work each week). I keep wondering if the problem has anything to do with my ABS or traction control. Tonight I am going to pull the ABS fuse and run the truck to see if the problem stops. Anyone else run into this problem or have any ideas as to the cause?
