brake lights

good day all .new to site. I have 95 Sonoma 4.3 2wd .I have issues with brake lights .I have all other lights even third cab light. checked fuses ,bulbs , checked brake switch nothing sticking on contacts even changed turn signal set up .still no tail brake lights. any suggestions.

You need to do some basic troubleshooting to home in on the problem. Test for power at various points in the circuit. Do you have power to the + terminal at the rear brake lights? My best guess is a bad ground. These trucks are famous for bad grounds in the rear harness.

there is no power at the wire harness plug when I test yellow wire . so I jerry rigged to the white wire off the harness but then when I use the left signal and brakes the signal stays solid . I got a used turn signal set up and it might be messed up too.the cruise turns off when turn the left signal on . I will try different turn signal set up . ty
