Hi so i currently own a 2009 gmc sierra and it was passed down to me. it currently has about 75 k on it and it just recently had a pretty major brake job done my gm, i was feeling a low pedal and told them to take a look at it and they said my pads were wearing unevenly and that they needed to be changed and my drums as well because they couldn't machine them for some reason.

after that the pedal still didnt feel like it used to and was still feeling low and kinda inconsistent at time, what i mean by that is the pedal feels a bit firmer when your more aggressive with the pedal and softer when your pressing the pedal lightly to stop at a stop sign. but even with that my pedal is still sitting lower then i remember it. to stop the vehicle it usually sits right about the same level then the gas pedal sits at. my concern is i've notice at a stop light that i can pretty much fully depress my brake pedal and it goes to the floor, i mean the truck stops good and everything and i even had a shop guy test drive and said it's normal but i mean the pedal has a lot of loose play until it gets to the gas pedal height or a little higher then it. i test drove my buddy 2010 silverado 6.2L with disc (mine has rear drums) and they have a much better brake pedal feel. I mean i know his are slightly different system but shouldnt they feel similar? is this normal for anyone else?
