2005 sierra 2500hd 4wd has soft spongy brakes. I have replaced the following and nothing changed; master cylinder,abs moduleand brake pump assembly

there is a button that must be held in on one end of the brake proportioning valve during brake bleeding
you can buy or make a clip that will hold the button
