Can't believe my brother in-law bought another ford f150 xl 2wd. His last a 2003 f150 xl extended cab, had an V6 with a engine knock they wouldn't fix. He paid $20,000. for another POS V6, 2wd, ford regular cab. We told him about the deal I got on my 2011 GMC SLE extended cab 4X4, and he turns around and buys another plain jane.

That's the best way to buy a ford. Plain jane. Less to go wrong.
Ford well at least they circled the problem.

Best ford I owned was plain jane. 1967 2wd f250 with 300 inline 6 and 4speed manuel no a/c no power windows or locks. Simple to work on.

If you can find a nice old low mileage truck with a carbureted engine, manual transmission, and a minimum of electronic anything, buy it now !
