Thinking about putting a bug deflector on the hood of my 2010 Sierra. Wondering about stick on or screwed on and how they stand up to drive thru car washes.

Any experience with these issues?

Thanks in advance.

The 2011 GM bug deflector go on with plastic plugs and hold great, I assume that the 2010 go on the same.

Bug Deflector Issues

I recently had my local dealer switch my black plastic bug deflector to the gm Chromed plastic one. When they took it out of the box it looked twisted and misshaped ? I asked if that was normal which they quickly replied yes, claiming that the mounting straightens it out and forms it to the hood of the truck. When I returned to pick it up it looked like hell, not properly gapped and still twisted. They apologized and fixed it claiming they went through 5 different bug deflectors before they found one that fit properly. So Iam happy now but still wondering if it was tech related or manufacturing issues ? other than that both bug deflectors caused me no problems what so ever, and I use the occasional touchless car washes here.
