Ok so I have a 2012 sierra slt and took my friends step son out driving (16 yeah no kidding huge mistake) anyhow he got nervous n backed into post no real damage in back just back right side bumper pushed bout a 1/2 inch maybe ..my question is how do I pull it back or fix it with out destroying in not to mention pissing of the sensors ...am kinda at a loss here.nothing else got damaged....what does one do to fix this...

a come-along and a tree
c-clamps to clamp on the bumper then hook come-along
that is the only way you can control the amount of pull

I backed into a dumpster last week, and pushed the right side of my bumper in about 1 inch..The bumper was pushed in,but not bent..The bumper brackets are slotted..Just loosen the bolts on that side, and you should be able to bang the bumper assembly back in place with a rubber hammer..
You could use a small bottle jack and a couple blocks of wood if its stuck.

I was rear ended at a stoplight a few years ago and I thought that I had to replace the bumper so ordered one got it and when I loosed the bolts to start removing the bumper just sprung back to original place and was not damaged at all. Took the new bumper back and go a refund.
