Cabin air filter??

Does a 2005 Sierra CCSB 4X4 have a cabin air filter? I have looked but not found anything. Reason for asking is that older gentleman that owned it befor me smoked cigars and smells pretty bad. I have cleaned carpet and treated leather seats but smell still comes through, especially on warmer days.
If it does not have one well I guess I will just keep cleaning and adding air fresheners till it hopefully goes away or at least get to be bearable.

Good luck getting that smell out.

I have an 87 Cutlass and the old guy before me smoked. It was not till the car got rebuilt that I understood how far you have to go to get that smell out. To this day I still remember the yellow stain running down the auto body shop driveway after they washed all the seats, head liner, door panels etc.

A couple things you should do are:

-Wet vac the carpet.
-Deodorize the head liner
-Clean as much of the grimeout of all the vents that you can.
-While the heater is on and the fan is on hi, spray a can of Lysol into the intake air vents for about a minute the repeat with the A/C on hi. (You will have a very strong smell of lysol for thr next couple days/weeks but it will go away and it's better than smoke.

It is a lot of work but your only other option is to pay a detailer to do it and that will cost you $$$.
