I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 that I have not hardly used at all over the last two years. It is my second vehicle. It has a check engine light and I am wondering if it could be from bad gas. Yesterday the check engine light was blinking but today it is steady.

I rarely drive the truck and the battery has drained several times. I'm thinking it is either bad gas or something that happened from a weak battery.

Any thoughts?

Have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes using a code reader ? That's the best place to start when looking for a problem. If random cylinder misfire is indeed the problem, try adding some fuel system/fuel injector cleaner to your gasoline . I like to use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner .
