i have a 1999 gmc seirra 1500 with a eaton 80 locking diff.
i had to replace to backing plates on both sides, with required me to remove the rear axles. the right side went well, when it came time to remove the c clip it just fell out. i did what had to be done and reinstalled the axle and clip no problem.
when i went to do the left side, i pushed the left axle all the way in and i tried to remove the clip i could'nt get it to come out, i cant get my neadle nose plyers to grip the clip, although the clip spins freely in the groove of the axle
any ideas ?
