97 GMC Sierra 1500 5.7L ext. cab 3dr 2wd.
My cargo light hasn't been working. I removed high mount brake light assembly. The plug has 4 wires. The 2 for the brake light system has no issues.
The cargo light system - this is what I have. Fuse - ok. Cargo light switch - ok. The blue w/ white wire leaving the switch has power up to the cargo light wire plug.
The white wire also has power. It is constant hot, as long as fuse for courtesy lights is in. Shouldn't this white wire be the neutral? The bulb is getting power from both sides of the assembly it plugs into.
Am I missing something?
