Changing FWD to AWD ?

Is it possible? My wife and I purchased a 2015 GMC Acadia SLE2 a couple years ago. I wanted to get an AWD, she didn't see the need, especially after a couple of very mild winters where we live. She regrets it now.

I'll probably buy another used car soon and am looking at 4wd or AWD, but thinking I wonder what it would cost or if it's even possible to convert our Acadia to AWD.

I'm sure it would cost a lot more and be more problematic than it would be worth, especially if you are considering another used car soon. There is a lot more to it than just adding the components.
