I assuming the PCM and the ECM are the same beast ?
Mine was throwing a few codes
o2 sensor bank 1
Throttle body sensor Bank 1
Timing over advanced (this started a week ago)
Theromostat coolant levels lower than expected
and 2 others that I cannot recall but the Mechanic said they were bank 1 sensor issues on his doo'mahicky
Now, he said he can replace the sensors and hope it resolves the issues
HOWEVER, as I read and look, I am leaning more towards the ECM as the point of error as when I asked he said it controls those sensors ( if that makes sense, I am not a car guy, ergo articulation issues)
he said it MAY fix it and it may not. he said if it is the issue, good to go. However, he said it could also be that those issues ARE issues and not faulty issues from a bad ECM
The o2 sensor code has been there for.....4 years
The throttle body adjust code was removed by brushing the teeth, but it came right back
Anyway, input before I piss 300.00 away in 1 direction or the other, is my request
I understand that more often than not it will be a speculative response and I am fine with that
I started having the bogged down throttle issue 2 months ago and a friend who refuses to work on cars, swapped wires from 1 to 2 and reset the code and the car ran fine for a day, but he said the code jumped to the new position. I replaced the plugs, wires as well as the packs on 1 and 2. Here am, 2 months later, same issue and new codes.....
