I was thinking of puting a cold air intake on my 2011 GMC Sierra. Does anyone know if it will void the warranty. The dealership actually told me if they put it on they could not guarentee the check engine light would not come on and if something went wrong I would have to pay. Feedback?

IMO there is very little benefit with these. They will not increase fuel mileage and the amount of increased HP is nil and would only show up at wide open throttle. What they will do it make more noise which many equate to more power but in reality all they are is eye food.

Waste of money IMO. Been there and done that and wished I had the money I pyssed away on them.

Thanks, I am all about saving some money. I did want more horse power and I was told that was the way to go.

Min gain, but gain is better than stock. If you are still interested in buying one. I pulled my K&N off my 2010 Sierra. Let me know if interested.

Cold Air Intake Wont Help Mileage

My buddy suggests just running a K&N Air filter, Mobil One Fully Synthetic oil, keeping air pressure proper and adjust driving habits to maximize fuel economy, but a cold air intake is not worth the cost.

I'd recommend an AirAid Modular Intake Tube to smooth out the airflow and look a little better than that junk GM put in front of the engine, but what do I know. And a good DRY air filter element. You won't beat the stock airbox.

But, like I said, what do I know.
