Confused on what engine I have.

I have 2007 ( new body style ) 2500HD Sierra Truck, everything I've read says it comes standard with a 6.0. My vin has a K for type of engine, doesn't K stand for a 5.3 engine? Thanks

I don't remember the VIN digit on my 2003 Denali with the 6.0L, but if I remember right the "Vortec" cover on the engine itself was embossed with 6.0. There should also be an emissions tag on the air cleaner box that gives the engine size. You can also always google "vin decoder" for GMC.

Why didn't I think of that, checked it and it does have the 6.0 engine. Thank you.

Yeah, using a VIN decoder is a great way to checking engine size or checking the emissions tag.
