Rockford hits good in tight sealed boxes. But its mainly a box sub compination that determines your sound, ported more boomy, sealed is tighter

I'm running two 10 inch cobalt in a bandpass box now for quite some time and they seam to hit hard and load with only a Orion 150 watt amp ran mixed mono. Great on keeping lot's of space also to carry anything else i need to in the back without damaging the speakers.

Here is a link for you to make your own bandpass box, but your going to have to contact the speaker manufacture for proper box dimensions for the box. http://www.diysubwoofers.org/bnd/4thord1.htm Also when making your box, use marine board, it's more dense then particle board.
