Hi,

I have a V6 2000 GMC Sonoma sls and just wondering how I would go about lowering it.

I would prefer to have some sort of switch to change it back and forth,I have seen before on youtube it is like a hydraulic system.

Should I get my body kit first or lower it?

i would lower it first also you can do coil overs or just cut the springs ethier way will work if you want to adjust it up or down i would get coil over shocks

If you'r looking to adjust your ride hight with a switch, your going to have to use a air bag system to lower and adjust your ride. That would have you reconstruct your suspension system for the air bags and running the air lines and adding a compressor with relays.

If you just looking to drop your ride hight to a good level, you can replace the front spindle to give you the same suspension travel with a good set of shocks and you can use a drop leaf spring or by adding a drop block between your rear axle and leaf springs.

Good luck and be safe and don't take short cuts to dropping your Sonoma.
