I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 4X4 and i am wanting to change out the dash lights in the instrument panel to LED's.... does anyone know what type bulb the factory has installed?

If you go to an automobile parts store, they can search their parts database in accordance to your vehicle's year, model, and sub-model in order to get the right light bulb. Otherwise just pull one of the lightbulbs from your truck, and go to the parts store to ask what type of bulb it is.

i'm pretty sure if you go led's that you can't use the dimmer. It takes 6 194s bulbs and i tend to favor the red LEDs lol
