Hi. Just signed up today after many years of browsing.
I am getting ready to trade in my 01 Sierra, and checked out a used 2014 Sierra yesterday. Truck is beautiful, but there is one small issue I noticed, and the salesman did not know what to say about it.
As I was starting to back the truck out of its parking spot, I hit the gas, but nothing happened. I thought the parking brake was on, but no. I had to just push the pedal down further until the truck started to move.
Turns out, for the first 1/2" or so of travel on the accelerator pedal nothing happens, and there is a noticeable delay before the engine responds to my pressing on the gas.
I bought my 01 new, so I have never driven anything with Electronic Throttle Control. The salesman is going to have a mechanic check it out, but I wanted to see if anyone here is familiar with this issue.
