Today I was trying to show my younger brother how to change the oil, and when he tightened the filter he needed to use a filter wrench to tighten it (he's 14). I wasn't under the car with him but when I checked his work I noticed a nickel-sized dent in the filter. It wasn't a deep dent but I am still concerned. I have already added the new oil and am driving the truck but am concerned that this could cause some sort of damage. How bad is it to be driving on a dented oil filter?
