Hi folks,
I've got a couple of questions. I own a 2015 GMC Sierra SLE 4X4 with the 5.3 litre engine that has a grand total of 7520 Kilometers on it. My first issue is when I start it cold after a day or so of it sitting i hear a pinging sound while it's starting. To me it sounds like incomplete detonation of the type people used to get when they used regular gas instead of premium. The second issue is every now and then I get dieseling when I go to shut it off.
Neither one of these issues are constants and only happen on occasion. So, has anyone else experienced these problems or does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing them? I also use regular gas but according to the manual that shouldn't be an issue.
Any help would be appreciated.
