Hello,
I am having difficulty shifting. Getting it into first or reverse from a dead stop is especially hard. When I am moving it is difficult to get into all gears. However, if the truck is at about 2000 RPM it will pop into gear much easier. I had my clutch replace about 20-30 thousand miles ago. Any help or direction would be great.

Also I tried pumping my clutch as some people suggested when I googled the issue and it didn't seem to help. Perhaps I didn't pump it enough though.

Thank you

gigem12, at approx 2k rpm the gears are somewhat sync'd and the clutch is not necessary to shift gears, thats why it seems easier to shift. Sounds to me like a clutch problem again. Sorry to say.

Master or slave cylinder for clutch may have a problem, not allowing the clutch to disengage, or the pilot bearing in the clutch may have seized keeping the tranny pilot shaft speed the same as the motor.

It's probably the slave cylinder. I just went through that with my truck. If it needs replacing, DON'T buy the cheapest part out there. Always go with an OEM part or better unless you want to do it all again a year from now. I learned that lesson the hard way. :(

Start with the simple and inspect your fluid level on your clutch master reservoir. If its low, top it off and if your think air made its way in to the system. Bleed the system like you would if your bleeding your break lines.

Start with that and make sure there are no leaks in your system. Good luck and keep us posted. ;)
