found this site and decided to join your forum in hopes of gaining knowledge and info as well as to share any that I may have. Thanks in advance for all your responses we purchased a GMC because I have always been lead to believe that they were the held to a slightly higher standard. After Owning OUR 2010 Acadia for just over a year I am now discovering that is is losing at least 2 quarts at 3k. We actually traded in our last vehicle which we purchased brand new, for the same reason ,that we were quite happy with otherwise. So needless to say I am very upset about this and intend to find out what is going on. I will post this in the appropriate thread also but thought I would share why I joined. I wish it was to say how pleased I was with my GMC. I never owned a foreign vehicle but now I am second guessing my decision. It has taken only a few inquiry to realize others are having the same issue and it appears that there has been no quick response from GMC which is also disappointing to say the least ! I have read one post mentioning that some manufacturers went to smaller ring diameters to reduce friction and improve MPG Numbers
Which I unfortunately belive could be the real reason. I will share all information that I find in my research and certainly appreciate any info others may have and can only hope GMC will own this without a fight ,which I am willing to make because I am so frustrated and disappointed.
