Distributor installation 350 R engine

Hello everyone! This is Mastermech here. I am new to the forums. Recently installed a 350 performance GM long block in my 99 Suburban. I am having problems installing the distributor correctly. Anyone done this before? Any help is appreciated.

Fixed it

Well everybody, I had the distributor in 180 degrees out. Turns out I had it pointed at number 6 cylinder. I'm surprised no one figured it out. Oh well , she's running well. I have a few more things to fix, but the worst is the gear box. It's badly worn. Trying to decide if I should go rebuilt (don't really like the idea) or junkyard (probably go that way). Any opinions? Mech
