does a 2004 gmc savana 2500 series van have a full frame?

my van got hit in the side (bad). can i cut it off and put a 12 or 14ft box on it? i was told by a friend that they have a unibody structure. unlike the ones sold with boxes..is this true, the truck is a hr away, i cant just go out and look under it. thanks
the van steers fine just magor body bamage. im just looking to find out if it has a seperate frame or a unibody

if your frame is bent, or some how torn, then it is a total loss. the frame will never be the same. next time you were to get hit there, the whole van could collapse in.
