it is a plastic piece that holds weather stripping, and it was broken when the keys were locked in it. i have checked the few junk yards in my town

i also tried going to the only body shop in my small town and they want $20 dollars just to look at it so i declined their help and went on this forum looking for answers

I can't tell from the pic what it is, up to close maybe?

it is a picture of that piece of plastic that has a plastic lip on it and fallows my front pillar. its suppose to be holding a piece of weather stripping

I see now that the pic has to be rotated 90 deg left for proper orientation.

Chances are that part is "not serviced separately" and you will need to buy a complete weatherstrip assembly.

Fyi - That's called the "A" pillar.

for future reference when you lock the keys in next time, slip in 2 thin pieces of plastic, then drive a wooden wedge or something of the sort in between them, you can force the door out without any damage.

check with the parts department at a dealer. they'll be able to tell you what it is.
