2007 yukon driver side switch that operates windows/door locks/mirrrors ect shorted out at the switch resulting in a burnt connector at the switch. replaced the switch and wired a new connector to the harness. it still blows the 15 Amp fuse marked DDS. I ran conductivity tests form the connector at the switch to the fuse block but found no breaks. Could I have the wrong wires connected to the new connector? Help!

2007 Yukon Window Switch

Hello,

There are 4 varietals of functionality for that year's window switch (all are identical). You should make sure you have the correct one or this will happen.

Switch Doctor, thanks for the reply. When you said there are four functions the switch performs i.e. window control, door locks, mirror adjustment and window lock, do you mean that I could have wired the new female connector incorrectly? Threre are six poles on the male receptacle on the switch but only five wires on the female connector. On the old wiring harness connector there are five wires; black, brown, red/white, green and a smaller red/white. The new connector has all white wires. I tried to follow the same wiring as the old connector had but obviously something is wrong. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

Switch Doctor
Thanks for your posts. The switch I purchased matched matched the vin # for my vehicle. Would you have a source of a wiring diagram for this switch/connector or wiring harness?
